Here’s a quick checklist for setting your artwork up for poster printing.
- The finished size of an A3 poster is 297mm x 420mm, so set your artwork up at 303mm x 426mm to add 3mm bleed to both sides
- Set your colour mode as CMYK
- Use high resolution images (at least 300dpi)
- Embed or flatten your fonts
How to design A3 posters
Whether you’re creating A3 posters yourself or you’ve got a talented design team on hand to produce one for you, setting up your blank canvas is quick and easy. An A3 poster size is 297mm x 420mm, but don’t forget to leave at least a 3mm bleed area for when your A3 posters go through the printing and trimming process. This just ensures none of your important messaging or design is lost.
